Int’l Bookmark Exchange Project 2016

The Bookmark Exchange Project is a simple, fun way of sharing the pleasure and delights of books and libraries and of making new friends through school libraries worldwide. This year’s topic for the Bookmarks is “Learn to Decode Your Word”. EIS Learning Resource Centre (Library) is proud to be the first and only participant of 2016 IASL Int’l Bookmark exchange project from Vietnam. Our Grade 3K students were exchanging bookmarks with the OSNOVNA ŠKOLA OKUČANI, a bilingual school in Croatia. Many thanks and congratulations to Grade 3 students and their homeroom teacher Ms. Jennifer to collaborate with the LRC and made this bookmark exchange a reality!!

EIS Students made the following Bookmarks for the OSNOVNA ŠKOLA OKUČANI students!

OSNOVNA ŠKOLA OKUČANI students sent back to the following awesome Bookmarks to the EIS Students! The bookmarks have the shapes of a tie as the tie itself originated from Croatia! From 17th century Croatian soldiers wore a scarf around their neck which was tied to them with their wives and girlfriends… The colour and decoration of the bookmarks represent one of the Croatian’s national costumes which originated from the part where the school is located called Salvonia.
